I know there are some people on indiegogo, but how do I go about replacing my 1.0 when I was waiting for 1.5 and was sent 1.0? I have contacted the support email, but should I just wait there?

Shingo, answering your question isn't easy. Following are my personal thoughts, nothing official (I'm just an unpaid volunteer). Luckily you got at least a V1 (others are still waiting for any hardware) and you already informed CarDongle that they didn't sent the correct V1.5. You already learned how to wait, so just do that a while longer. For the time being it's best to use V1, try to maximize the use of it and hope that CarDongle is able to sort all of our problems.

Bye for now  Fred

@ap756

Thanks for the Fred reply.
I was disappointed with 1.0 when I finally received it.
I'll wait for a reply from the cardongle team as it hasn't been long since I contacted the support email for the time being.

As far as I know China/HK had another COVID lockdown. I suppose this influenced delivery and correspondence again. Crazy world...

He replied that we could exchange in the comments.
He also said he would contact us here if that is the case.
I hope that others in the same situation will be able to exchange to v1.5 successfully.

Hi,

I also just received a 1.0v which is incorrect. I was meant to receive a 1.5v which I paid the upgrade for. To make things worse my 1.0v does not work on my head unit. (Subaru Crosstrek supported car)

Hopefully I can also send this back for the correct unit

I too recd a v1 instead of the 1.5 AND my v1 is a paper weight.
Dev responded saying they had me down for v1.  Luckily I kept the emails - I found a response from them in April of 2021 acknowledging my request for v1.5.

Not a happy camper.

In November, 1.0 was ordered to be delivered to another person, and I am waiting for 1.5, but I have not received any product or communication.
The project has ended and there are still many people who have not received delivery, what is going on?

@shingo, don't give up the hope. At least parts of the team are still around and they will start to communicate again. Just when they started to overcome Corona lockdowns and missing parts supply they were hit with new infections. I don't know the actual situation, but I'm sure they are willing to get the job done. Version 2.4.86 OTA update is out now, something to do to shorten your waiting time 😉

Bye for now  Fred

What do you mean you got a refund? I have not been refunded.
I sent my V1 to another backer and they said they would send me V1.5 stock right away, but nothing was ever sent and they lied to me there too. I think this is too much.
I think CarDongleTeam is trying to make a false report to indiegogo and be done with it. Am I correct in assuming that they were used to fund another project, CarPC?
AP756, please check with your team if you can contact them.
All my emails have been ignored.

@shingo Different teams, different companies, quite similar product. They are competitors in the market of Android Auto dongles. I'm a "one man show" (no team) and I'm just a volunteer without any power. I'm just a customer like you and trying to push this project because I think Android Auto protocol is the future for me (no additional hardware needed, just one piece of software and you can setup in your living room on your PC). You have to discuss your problem with Cardongle representatives. Please send another email to info@cardongle.co "Backer 6770 - delivery V1.5" and something like that: "I'm still waiting for the delivery of the V1.5 you promised to send (see your mail dated xx.xx.xx). As promised I forwarded the V1 which was delivered to me in error to backer xxxx, name, address. Please let me know when I will receive the correct V1.5 I'm waiting for since "date of last email". Thank you in advance ...... Sorry, can't help more.

Bye for now  Fred

@AP756 I sent the email as you said. The template mail will be returned, but there will probably be no reply from the other party after this. (When other backers received instructions to send it, they replied immediately, but after the delivery was completed, there was no reply to the email at all.) There are still many people who have not received the product in the comments section of the closed project. increase. (I was even deprived of the right to write in the comment section.) I will also confirm by email that there is a possibility of fraud on indiegogo side.

@shingo Keep your hope high. The Cardongle staff should be returning now after Chinese New Year holidays and you should get an answer after they worked through their backlog.

Bye for now  Fred
